60ft Wooden Hut

The design used for this model kit is based on the standard wooden clad 60ft x 20ft, which was the most common type built to accommodate military personnel during the 1st world war.

These buildings went on to be used as village halls, Scout and Guide huts and some were used for businesses.  They were a versatile building that in some cases are still used today.

This kit is hand cast in resin and the molds have been made from high quality 3D printed parts which allows us to produce extremely detailed clad walls and corrugated roof sections.  We have designed a photo etch window and door sets from very fine metal allowing for a more accurate look to the finished model.

This kit is cast in white resin and includes etch window and door sets.

The full story about the huts can be found at this website Great War Huts

Great Structure

- 07/18/2017

I remember one of these virtually the same as the kit being used for our local scout hall in the 1950's. Please consider making this item in OO scale as well as N.

Great kit!
